Portal has been a Stockholm dining institution for over 60 years, with chef Klas Lindberg at the helm since 2016. Lindberg's journey took him from a rural childhood in Småland, surrounded by seasonal produce, through Michelin-starred kitchens in Paris and Oslo, a Culinary Olympics gold medal, and the Nobel Banquet, before landing here.
The food reflects that background: simple preparation, excellent Swedish ingredients, letting every element shine. The signature dish says it all, the Love Stew, born after his Chef of the Year win, brings together whitefish roe, brown butter, and potatoes with dill as a love letter to Swedish flavour.
